Our Special Needs Service Showcases How Play Can Inspire and Unite all sorts of People

Our services.

  • The Right to Play for All...

We have a vision to provide incredible opportunities for all our Children and Young People. By embracing our differences and learning how we can use them in creative ways we know we can have a huge amount of fun and learn a lot on the journey.

We encourage a wide range of communication strategies such as Makaton, PECs and other Visual Tools to be used by everyone on site in order to provide as many opportunities for interaction and choice as possible.

  • What We Offer

We run “Right to Play” Sessions on Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays where SEND Children and Young People, accompanied by Parents or Carers, are welcomed at the Playground to make use of our amazing structures, games and facilities. Our experienced, fun loving staff organise games and activities and provide refreshments. We also invite selected Neurotypical children to the sessions who provide excellent role models for play.

  • Specialist Offer

Our Wednesday After School Service provides supervised “Short Breaks” funded by Lambeth Council. These sessions allow our Children and Young People to enjoy the Playground and tailormade activities with experienced, fun loving staff. Places are available subject to eligibilty, please emaill groveplayleader@gmail.com for more information.

  • Ambitions....

We are very grateful to our supporters, and currently also offer some one to one supported play sessions to our Children and Young People during our Holiday Play Sessions. We would love to develop this element of the service. If you could help us with the funding of this service please visit our “Supporters” section.

Our Timetable

Our regular mid week Stay & Play and Short Break sessions are shown on the calendar. Other activities will be added as they are scheduled.
